Cannot Access App Store / App Store Access Very Slow

When ever I launched  App Store and went to the Updates page i got the message “Cannot Connect to App Store”, I also got this error when trying to access Purchases but Featured,Top Charts and Categories all appeared to work OK. I tried several times and even restarted my server, but nothing made any difference. My MacBook Pro could connect without anyissues so I was pretty certain that the problem was with my iMac.

For reference the issue occurred

Server:iMac 27-inch, Late 2013
OS Version:10.9.3
OSX Server Veresion:3.1.2

After trying numerous fixes that I found online, this is the only fix that worked for me

Updated Information

Whilst this worked yesterday and got everything working, it does not appear to be a permant fix as it has failed again today and this configuration change is still active.
